  • Activeplan’s PIM enables Main Contractors to assign Asset Information Requirements to individual work packages in a machine-readable form

So, those with valuable asset information schedules in Excel or other applications can add it directly, retaining responsibility for the quality, reducing re-work and speeding up data collection.

BIM Manager’s workload is reduced significantly because much of the manual checking, rejecting and rechecking is automated. They are also able to progressively validate COBie submissions as work is completed, rather than wait until handover when things can become critical.

Activeplan’s PIM connects the geometric models (using BIM360 Forge or 3D Repo) and the non-geometric COBie data creating a Cloud-based interactive, integrated BIM data model.

By managing all the data in relational databases, commercial, procurement, logistics and delivery teams become part pf the BIM process, so the data they produce for other reasons is gathered to form the Digital O&M.
