Why we need to Transform Construction

The Hackitt review on the Grenfell disaster has shone a spotlight on the need for buildings owners and their contractors to know what products and materials are in the buildings they develop and there is an expectation that BIM will deliver that.

A group of designers, contractors, information managers, manufacturers – and clients – have been collaborating to develop processes and tools that support project teams in delivering what is needed.

These short videos explain why so many BIM Level 2 projects are not providing what asset managers need and propose some simple changes clients and their supply chains can make to ensure the Golden Thread is delivered.
